Here's the problem him as a protagonist and an army guy would not want to kill a whole people's because they believe different than the brotherhood apocalypse or not that's a mass genocide
I guess 76 as a simulation makes the most sense if it’s the farthest in the timeline – that way, it’s more plausible that vault tech have knowledge of groups like the brotherhood. If the pcs are actually subjects forced into the simulation as a returned vault tech try to work out how to conquer and control the wasteland, then I guess that makes some sense 🤷♂️

Even though it doesn't make much sense, I think it would be cool if Nora was canon instead of Nate, mostly because so many fallout protagonists were already canonised as the Male option. Plus I like the idea more of Nora learning new things to surivive in a harsh new world over Nate already being an experienced military vet who knows what he's doing, which i think kind of takes away from the fresh vault dweller idea and to me sort of sounds like an excuse for how he knows how to use power armour.
I will say that the Deacon/LW theory doesn't really have any legs, since Deacon is mentioned in Old Railroad records on PAM's master mainframe that I'm pretty sure date back to even before Fallout 3, and is directly mentioned as being in the Railroad longer than even Desdamona, although he is also implied to have earlier been under another alias "Johnny D" for some of that period, which muddies things a little. However, this does seem to show that Deacon has been in the commonwealth as a major railroad operative for over a decade, so he can't also be the Lone Wanderer at the same time. The Barbara and UP deathclaws story is also likely true, as it's the only story he tells that he will never admit is a lie, and occurs at max affinity. It's also worth noting that since University point is now destroyed and, that since the UP deathclaws were seemingly killed by Deacon over a decade ago, then obviously no information would be likely to exist anymore.
I feel the cannon ending to my fallout 3 character is just getting gunned down on a final quest. My new vegas is a crazy retired mojave warrior

I'd nate joined BOS then there's a chance he appears in the show, so I'm saying he joined the minutemen over BOS
I think the Tunnelers from Lonesome Road finally reached the Mojave, as Ulysses predicted. They overran New Vegas, which even with their army of Securitrons, was caught completely off guard by these attackers from below, and never stood a chance. A sad ending to such a beautiful city.
I don't know where I read it but wasn't the canon ending for Fallout 4 Nate destroying the Institute with the Minutemen and then becoming the Raider boss in the Nuka World DLC where he kept expanding and established the largest known raider group in the wasteland?

And the Overseer in Fallout 1 didn't not trust the Vault Dweller, he didn't trust the rest of the Vault to not get inspired by his actions and try to go explore the wastes as well
Who said Vault-Tec has to be the ones running the Simulation? The BoS could've discovered it, or another section of the Enclave.
