“Learn Electronics Repair”
Sometimes I go out onsite to undertake repair work, and this can be very profitable. Here is a good example of The sort of work I do when I’m not at the office, in full 4K UHD 60fps!

You have to really question what they are saying about satellites orbit distances. You are intelligent and have knowledge. For me, even without calculations, it seems to me that to cover the whole countries with the signal from that distance is impossible. When if you worked with Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz, you know how hard it is to establish good link on long distances.
3:00 – Fascinating! Where did you get that software?! Just a peek inside the complexities of receiving satellite signals.
Thanks for the bird's eye view of PARADISE!!! The Canary Islands are very beautiful. Would love to visit some day. Will look you up when we do! Great video, of course!!!
I hope you do more of these, Richard.
I hope there's a part 2 ,when the new dish arrives .
Great video thanks Richard πππ
Nice job explaining a satellite TV system. Enjoyed learning something new to me.
Interesting, good to see how things operate on site.
I think I'm living in the wrong part of the planet. Been raining for the last 2 days on my outdoor jobsite….
Your cameraman is terrible! You can't see your screen. Thank you for the informative video
Perfect video! But why DVB-T and not DVB-C in a hotel? You have a cable network, not terrestrial TX?
Richard I picked up a hy-tronix myriad xk model 440 at a local Goodwill. Have ya ever heard of one or know anything about them? It is from the 80's
Cool….
Great video, as you said very few of us would have any exposure to satellite receivers. Peter
Wow that's a fantastic view. Go down near the pool see if you can spot any 'white pointers' hehe!
What you did there wouldn't be possible nowadays in most countries due to OHS etc. You would need a safety harness, barriers on the tops of all roofs, 10 people standing around spotting you etc. It's really no wonder why many of the ex-big-industrial countries no longer produce anything heh!
Didn't quite get what a local oscillator does. Is it functioning as a superheterodyne? Nice idea going onsite. Watching from cold MontrΓ©al with envy. πππ
Looks like a job for the early morning. It must be getting very hot up there.
Nice office !!!!….cheers.
Interesting. I wonder if this is similar to quadraphonic records. 4 channels in one groove.
Pretty interesting, always wondered how hotel tv systems worked
Hello sir, can you help with one problem? My rx580 has 2 modules of memory destryed, they destroyed the motherboard as well i can't use that's slots A0/A1 can i mod the bios to the video board to uses only the b/c and d channels ? I have a Gtx 1650 with 5 channels, but it only uses 4
You should put a long range camera on that drone and get us some good bikini shots. Hehe
Richard that is absolutely beautiful. Where exactly are you located if you donβt mind my asking? Thanks for sharing. How would you get a new disc up there? Richard I hope all is well back to your electronic videos. π
If we ever lost a signal it was nearly always down to the plastic cap breaking down and the waveguide being full of earwigs!
The view is gorgeous. reminds me of Santorini. Where is it if I may ask?
BTW your videos are excellent!
Interesting one. Thanks. And so jeaulous of the weather.
I think these will be obsolete in near future do to Starlink LEO's hyper fast expansion. There will be only ultra high definition IPTV.
Thanks for fantastic video!
Hands down best electronics channel on youtube.
Iβll bring my sat meter next time I come over lol the weather is looking fantastic have a beer for me π»π»
Well, I've just learned something I didn't know I wanted to know. Nay lad, you cant beat Filey on the costa del Yorkshireπ
20:07 – These screw-in F-connectors are very flimsy. Our local cable TV company stopped using them 15 years ago. They now use a press-fit type. You need a special crimping tool to install this new type.
I thoroughly detest those twist on F-connectors… the Devils spawn
Blue skies and tee shirt weather in January.
You must be so depressed having to work and live in a place like that. Why don't you move back to the UK where the weather is sometimes ok for you to go outside and the people are so nice?π€£π π
Why I don't see my comment??
Hi Rick. Too much memories from the 80s. My heroic era when we needed a 3m dish, moving by actuator….. Huge LNBs, very noisy, low sensibility. Intricate mounts and alignment where you had to use declination along with azimuth and elevation.
An easy job nowadays. Thanks again for the memories.
Loved it, thanks for sharing!
Nice view! Have you visted Azores islands? I have been once on the Sao Miguel and in the city Ponta Delgada.
Thanks for sharing
Heya, nice to see some other work that you'r doing and then some nice drone shots and together with Det, hope to see a part 2 soon
