“Android Police”
The Pixel 9 Pro is here. It’s exciting. It’s in new colors and shapes. We finally get a full Pro camera in a smaller chassis! But Google wants you to know that this phone is all about AI. Is that a bad thing? And even if it isn’t, why are some other problems not being addressed? Find out in this…

lol the google shills in this comment section are really pathetic
When you said weather proofing i was like okay this guy is Lost
Let just call it… iPhone Police.. how about that..
I almost feel pity for those who're stuck with the choice between the latest from Apple, Google and Samsung -almost 'cause some of those markets have OnePlus. But seriously folks, the only innovations right now in smartphones are being done by the Chinese manufacturers; if only they can provide better UI it's their game to lose!
Thank you for the most honest review on the new pixel. I purchased the new pixel and was immediately disappointed. The price for the new pixel is bonkers for what we got. I traded my s22 ultra for this giant piece of trash.
TLDR: The phone is good, this review is not.
One issue not mentioned by reviewers is the very low (bad) PWM of the 9 series screens. 240hz flicker at every brightness level is hard on the eyes and can cause headaches and eye strain.

Bang average cameras and lauds the One Plus 12
Biggest fucking cap, you will not be able to feel any difference in day to day use when it comes to daily performance
Tempting to wait for the new OnePlus 13 but it will be big and chunky. might just go for this phone. main complaint about my s23U is how big and heavy it is
Seriously! Tech reviewer doesn't know right specs. Mis-information. 47W in XL Pro? Gimme break
I could not care less about gaming performance with the several Pixel phones I've owned over the years
Just being picky honestly, enjoy your one plus google for me.
Galaxy S24 plus is better than pixel 9 pro
7:48 That's atrocious. The guy's face looks like a cartoon – that's so so bad.
I found it heard to justify upgrading from my P8P. I love that phone so much – the feel is sublime, so I wasn't wanting to trade it in for a flat sided phone. This is the first year in a long time that I can say I've kept the same phone for more than 1 year. I'm a techy, so I like getting the newest and greatest, but this year all options fell short. Maybe I'll go back to Samsung with the S25U, but we'll see. The Pixel is so smooth, and I like getting the updates as soon as they're released.
Still no PAL settings – really disappointing
I traded my Galaxy s24 ultra for the pixel 9 pro xl. I have no regrets.
Hope this helps ☺️
These reviewers are missing the point. Pixel phones has never been about performance. It is about people who want to enjoy a great stockAndroid experience without bloatware. Google optimized the software to work properly with its hardware. Now if you want a gaming phone, get a rogue phone.
Google Pixel 9 is the ugliest phone ever produced! This soap shape frame and camera modules is AWFUL.
Got the pixel 9 pro XL, and this thing is nice
I use my phone for netflix , youtube, football scores, camera and internet. Will processor be issue to me if dont game. Coming from s20FE 5G. Just don't want something that will lag in a few years
This is my jssue with Youtube reviewers, theyre terminally online and judge phones on benchmarks but not real life scenarios which should be the main focus. Ive had Samsung Galaxies for years and made the switch to the pixel and won't look back. Yes Samsung phones have all the bells and whistles but I barely use any of the features and the pixel features are most useful to me for my day to day. You shouldn't judge a phone solely on the benchmarks and physical features.
