  1. Based on your video, I can see why I would never attempt to install a dishwasher. In fact, we purchased our new dishwasher from one of the "clubs" and the price included delivery, installation, and haul away. But I would have paid extra for sure.

  2. Brian I don’t know if you know this or not but channel lock has a pair of pliers made to install and uninstall the band clamps like the one on that dishwasher

  3. I think the high cost of parts is by design. They WANT you to purchase a new unit and not fix the old one. It's not just dish washers, it is all appliances. For a while I thought I needed the detergent dispenser on my Whirlpool dishwasher and it was $100. Luckily I was able to get mine working by giving it a good cleaning. Also on my refrigerator there is a small plastic drip tray under the water dispenser. It can't be more than 9-inches by 2-inches. $30 for a replacement. A replacement plastic burner knob for my gas stove… $45!! Yes, plastic.

  4. I see you replaced an LG (Largely Garbage in my opinion) with a US brand unit. I have heard so many horror stories about the Korean brands of appliances (LG and Samsung), particularly their washing machines, dryers and refrigerators, that I would never consider purchasing one. Spare parts are often made of Unobtanium. My neighbor had to wait 12 weeks for a warranty replacement of a refrigerator compressor. Imagine living out of your Coleman cooler for 12 weeks while you wait for your refrigerator to be repaired. Unacceptable.

  5. Great information and install Brian. I have changed out two of them in my lifetime and they are a pain in the back side I am 66 and in a couple of months I will be 67 and I will not be getting down in the floor and wrestling with one anymore 😂
