Well mine is also HP but after I updated the my windows to windows 8.1, while browsing it just went blank. Ever since that day it's been blinking when I turn it on, when I press fn + f4 (atapting to switch on monitor ) it only blink then screen goes very dim.
But it work fine on a monitor
And when the screen times out and left on changer for about 5Hour, then after some while it goes dark again.

dude you screwed me up…once I deleted the display drivers, I couldn't see a thing since my screen was blank but I had it running on the separate monitor. Now I don't knwo what to do.
