the amount of times I've dropped my s8 and it surviving is one is the reason I've always liked samsung as a brand, now I own the s10 5G but it still misses a lot of the charm the s8 did especially when it came to the software side, android 9 got updates until june of 2022

hi, I tried to repair an s8 but it seems that the s8 is full of problems, I changed 3 motherboards and they all have problems like no signal or sound or they reset. so it is not worth investing in it.

I now have my very own mangle s8 and the frame is so bent its in a diamond shape somehow still vibrates and the light turns on! hoping to fix it
If the phone is getting hot perhaps theres a short in the motherboard somewhere causing a big drain on the battery
I would backup my phone regularly but I don’t have 256 gigs of just space to burn on my computer
Pro tip: u should apply regular scotch tape above the broken glass. That way u reduce the glass goin' all over the place.

That`s an 5 year old phone and a Samsung at that, how much money will it cost to fix opposed to how much it will sell.
I am curious, what is the use of such an old device? I myself have an old S8 lying around the house, and haven't found a good use of it.
Get a unfixable phone with a working board if you didn't sell the phone.
My dad accidentally ran over his iPhone 4s 2 times and it still works. Heck I used it after he got an upgrade on Verizon. He got a iPhone 6s.

This is like restoring an old broom and replacing the handle and head, but leaving the 4 bolts holding it together. I wouldn't expect a phone repair shop to even attempt to repair this phone. So it's pretty damn impressive that this guy managed to.

IMEI locks are country based only so if it was blocked in Spain it would only be blocked to all networks in Spain but can use on any network (if phone is unlocked) in any other country than Spain.

I just returned an S22+ to Aurion for insurance recovery replacement for a phone that was not even two weeks old phone. My wife was cutting the backyard and she heard a pop and then a grinding sound. She through the lawnmower had run over a limb or toy our dog plays with. Backing up the lawnmower and then lifting it up she found the remains of her phone embedded between the blade and the mower housing. The only thing that was left intact was the SIM card. I couldn't tell if the SIM card was any good. Being a photographer I wanted to take pictures of the mangled phone, but out of respect for her feelings and the privilege I have living in the same house, I did not brow to my photographic urge to raise my phone or any other camera to take pictures. The images you have shared do not come close to what happened to her phone. DOA is more appropriate to what she experienced.
