  1. The headphone jack is definitely botched. Too many consistent reports. Seems to affect IEMs primarily, and less so with headphones. There's a buzzing sound that's loud on the Steam home and is audible in games.

My 1tb unfortunately has it bad. Everything else is fine though, so I won't be doing an RMA.

  2. Love the content and the discussion. One minor complaint. The frequency of ads while watching the replay is annoying. Literally every two minutes of a 1+ hour long video is too much.

  3. I don't get the love for BFI (Black Frame Insertion)… every time I've tried it I can SEE the extra flicker… a lot like when I visited England and watched games/tv at 50hz… I can't get used to it.

  4. I really enjoy your videos , in fact your channel should be the official companion for life long console gamers like myself that have dipped their toe into P.C gaming. I never knew how GREAT steam is. The back log of games is insane and the prices are awesome. 👊🏼👊🏼

  5. The 3.5 Audio Jack is botched on so many OLEDs (mine included). The report rate on Reddit and socials is getting higher everyday. It’s my only disappointment.

  6. Hey Bill, a young 90s GamerDad here. I support everyone’s’ channel on the show. Wanted to say I got the Tomtoc Steamdeck case for my OneXplayer 2 pro and it has absolutely changed my travel for the best. 🎉🎉thanks for the reference

  7. Everything is all good with mine but I have one curious issue. My mini foldable keyboard just cannot stay connected to Bluetooth. It still works with my LCD still, will no issue. The only other Bluetooth device (8bitdo Pro 2) I tested doesn’t disconnect nearly as much but it still does. My AirPods never disconnect. The keyboard has a very specific use but it’s not enough for me to consider RMA as everything else is perfect.

  8. So I ran the dead pixel color test on my LE OLED Steam Deck and noticed 1 dead pixel when viewing the bright blue screen. All the other colors seem fine and when I view screens with different shades of blue I do not see the dead pixel. Also it’s tough to see the dead pixel unless I have the screen at least 3-4 inches away from my face. Would you still return this?

  9. I just got the oled le delivered and I didn’t want to do a dead pixel test BUT the moment I loaded it up and the logo booted up I noticed a dead pixel pretty much dead center of the screen. Did a test after that and noticed about 3-5 total dead pixels. I’m so sad because I wanted the le and I hope if/when they replace it for me they send me an le with no dead pixels.

  10. I remember valve specifically mentioned that its a set number of LE decks and when they run out the run out. I dont remember where I saw this, possibly an interview but thats what I remember seeing.

  11. I use WiFi 6 with Synology RT6600ac and with Smart Connect ( router is choosing fastest network) without problems. Transfers are not so great on my iPhone I get max what network is capable.

  12. Great show! Lots of great conversation! i need some assistance. I recently got the LE OLED and when I click on an item with the right trackpad in Desktop mode, it won't select it. I don't have this issue with my OG 512gb LCD…

  13. Quick question, anyone else having this issue with the new oled steam deck.

When using wired headphones plugged into the 3.5mm jack there is a constant static noise. I tried 3 different wired headphones and the static noise can still be heard.

    Anyone?

  14. “A very low quality” from BOE. Who also produces iPhone displays for Apple, notoriously known for having extreme quality controls…. The displays are nearly identical and absolutely fine. People really love jumping on whatever trend they see in Reddit and now is BOE bad..

  15. The red and green edges on letters are just the sub-pixel font rendering. This is 100% normal and expected for low-resolution screens, it's an intentional feature. It makes text look a little bit smoother. You can turn off sub-pixel rendering in Linux if it bothers you. The colored fringes will go away, but your text will look a bit blockier.
