The A600 console looks brilliant.
You can get a joystick adapter that splits JOY 0 into a 9 pin joystick port and a USB mouse so you don't have to unplug the mouse to use that joystick port. I have one for my A1200.
BTW, where did you get the wireless USB Tank mouse ? (There is no link for it.)

Have you considered putting a s-video mod in place of the old RF modulator?
