  1. A great listen…… the cars he’s had….. he’s a year older than me…… so I know the era he’s talkin about…… an we’ve all stories…. Not quite as involved as his😂😵‍💫……. But I’ve had a few great deals over those years…… the golden age of motoring 🙏🏼😂😎

  2. This is a great video, so the real point is given none of them are really built any better or more or less reliable than the other… then why pay the extra… if I was paying 120k for a Ferrari I would expect it to work as designed and have few issues…Ferrari still today is all about the engine.. the rest is free Do I love Ferrari and super cars sure, but I have had my experience and now prefer to put it in real estate. ❤ and own 3 smaller classics over these new breed of cars. Cars are emotive purchasers and that’s what Ferrari as a brand are best at. They are aspirational purchases and make a statement to yourself, hopefully not other people. I would keep your F12 I almost bought one in Grigio Ingrid a few years back. 😅

  3. My last and abiding memory of these buffoons from hexagon was being called in for a job which was allegedly urgent only to be told that somebody else had already done it an hour before
“ oh don’t worry dear boy will give you a ring when another one comes in” i’m still waiting…

  4. When I used to do audio for interviews we used to use a separate audio recorder. I’d highly suggest a zoom olympus or tascam recorder.

They usually have a microphone input I use a tascam dr505 and has the benefit of gain control on the inputs too

  5. What a time to be alive, a position to be in, and a great storyteller. I really enjoyed this new version with more stories. The British passion for combustion-engined stuff is still unmatched. Thank you very much for the perfect editing: pictures when you want them, drive-bys to contextualize the anecdotes. Epic. By the way, at some point in life I have to own a vs12 to be able to say: Sir I think I'm running on only 10 cylinders!

  6. Guys who can write checks are not really "Petrol heads." Men who work on their own cars are the real thing. Guys who write checks like this guy – tim Allen, jay Leno, ralph Lipshitz et al. Only pay for work. Not knowing anything really. Writing a check takes no effort or knowledge.

  7. I am far wealthier than this guy ever was. My parents showed their feelings. I grew up with easy demonstrations of Love. I feel sad for this guy. Being a stereotype of the stiff-upper-lip British garbage. He thought that was a good upbringing, sent away to school and a nanny. How sad.

  8. I can remember a 275GTB just parked in a street in Kentish Town for ages in the mid 70,s & when I lived in Belsize Pk I can remember seeing the late John Wolff,s 427 Cobra by the roadside in Belsize Ave;I think it was his daily driver! Beggars belief now!.

  9. Saw some of this before but v interesting. We used to go to the Earls Ct show from boarding school(in Oxfordshire) in the 50,s & I would pop down the road to South Kensington to see my Aunt & Uncle who lived there. We,d collect all the catalogues but alas none survive, pity,as some would be worth a few bob now(e.g Bristol etc) Do you have a brother David who used to deal in Alfas;I have a feeling he used to buy Momo steering wheels from me in the 80,s?
