I still think a skrull was parading to be Rhodey sometime after the events of endgame cause Gravik didn’t start his revenge plan against Nick Fury after everyone came back from the blip

Secret Invasion was a fever dream and an insult to the actual story.
Look, there's a lot of things wrong with Secret Invasion, but Rhodey potentially being replaced earlier than Endgame isn't one of them. That's the whole point of the threat of the story of an alien shapeshifting race. The Skulls are dangerous mostly because they can be perfect spies as long as they need to be. In the comics the Secret Invasion was a multi-decade infiltration and all the revelations were terrifying. If anything, they needed to lean in more into this aspect with the MCU, and it would have been much scarier than main badguy gets all the powers at once.
X-Men '97 showing that the Jean in the beginning of the series was so much better written than the rubbish of Secret Invasion.

Remember when Bryan Singer ignored the final two movies in the Christopher Reeves Superman series? He took the parts he liked and went from there. That's what Marvel has to do. The TV Marvels has been a complete disaster. The best thing they can do is IGNORE it. IGNORE IT ALL. Start with End Game and do it right.

Watching this just gave me a realization that the studio probably thought it was too straightforward that Rhodey was going to be a Skrull in secret invasion. In FatWS it slipped my mind that Rhodey wasn't wearing his brace. nor did I question it when I saw him walking around in SI until the end

I always suspected that it was some time between End Game and FaTWS…. As the scene in FaTWS always seemed rather odd, but in a way that was never explained.

The idea that Rhodey was swapped after Civil War never made any sense and I don’t know why anyone took it seriously, Gravik still worked for Fury until after Endgame so there would’ve been absolutely no reason to replace Rhodey before that.
I’m still pissed they killed Maria Hill
