Tbh my company wants me to charge for every call as a plumber but there something’s I just can’t charge for like yea I drove and hour to unclog you toilet with the same plunger but I can’t charge you it took me 2 minutes out of my day and it keeps your coustmer coming back
I help the elderly people and families I know that cannot afford to pay for a Service call – I charge only for parts or materials used for the repair and a meal if I am there for an extended amount of time.
I was taught to help others in need – pay it forward
Those are the best washers. Pre Obama era, when you had more control of how much water it used. I have one and love it.

I have this same washer. Mine stopped working on the rinse cycle last week. Is it worth spending the money to repair or is it time to replace it?
Last year I paid $160 for a guy to come out and look at my dyer and fix it, all it needed was a new knob. I was so frustrated, especially because the machine was one month past its warranty.

I had a customer insist on replacing the transmission on their washer. The part was $320 installed with a 6 month warranty. A new washer was about $370 at the time. Couldn’t convince her to scrap the old washer. It was her favourite appliance apparently.

As crazy as it may sound, I, and yes I’m a woman, do my own washer and dryer repairs. Daddy always said, “remember how you took it apart and put it back the same way”. With today’s technology, I take a picture on my phone first – at 63 the old memory ain’t that great anymore- and am able to do my own repairs. Of course my hubby says, “get the credit card and go buy a new one”. Absolutely not! My washer and dryer is only 15 years old. They should still have a good 10 years left!
