“More Mortske Repair”
A local subscriber gave us a free 350 Chevrolet engine hoping we could use it. The story was that they had it running in a mud truck and replaced it with a more powerful engine. We got it fired up but noticed there was an issue so lets tear into it and see what we can save! As always, thanks for…

I always enjoy seeing Mojo be surprised at the stuff y'all find broken. With all he's seen in life, surprising him is quite the feat. Keep up the great work guys!
DO NOT LET THIS DISCOURAGE YOU! My entire life I have been told the small block Chevy is the greatest engine EVER made so it must be TRUE! For some unimaginable reason everyone I’ve ever owned or been around has done nothing but burn gas and oil while making noise with barely enough power to get out of the garage, but that’s the exception, not the rule, so I’ve been told. I’ve heard from many, many diehard Chevrolet fanatics the SBC is so incredibly powerful truckers swap them into their Peterbilts to replace their CAT 3406E’s!! The SBC is so powerful and reliable that cruise ships circumnavigate the ocean using 2 small block Chevy’s for power, but really only 1 is needed. Elon Musk uses SBC’s to power his Space X Rockets!! So don’t give up finding a good SBC, just because I’ve been cursed for over 50 years with never being able to find “a good one” doesn’t mean you should EVER give up the search! Be strong Grasshopper!
Shrink wrap them dummy. Cheap and effective.
Just shrink wrap those suckers. Blue Storage & Boat Shrink Wrap from Farm Plastic Supply or dr-shrink Thanks for the vid!
That's what you call a "high-clearance" build right there.
You should do a mojo build let him build a quick hotrod and then do a duo team build after words
Thanks for sharing this video with us
A mess. You’ll find a mess.
I enjoy seeing you and Mojo working on these motors and things, you guys are good. hope you can keep up the good work you both do.
That oil pump is the real mvp
Let's be honest here. There has to be four or five days every month when Mojo wishes Mortske would not show up for work.
😎🏴☠️
Damn
why do 350,s have 4 bolt main, when they can only do 6k.. before they lose parts.. 2 bolt 351c or 460c, will do 7k, std.. then, put a decent cam in it.. i had a 253 holden, gm, v8,. it had timing chain slop, i had to turn it manual, then start it, or it wouldnt start. . had a 1 ton holden hq ute, went thru 1 tank of gas to sump of oil.. never had probs with clevo..which is a truck engine, sold to aus, until we beat them at there drags, then they wanted it back.???.. ausie tech.. XYGT. HO. 351C. 72. 160 mph 4 sp.. 4v heads.. 4 door falcon.. papers doctored it to 140..
i know a good why to fix 350,s. BIN.. or spend thousands at the speed shop, to make it……o.k. ish… start with an 010 block, then give bank details to your local speed shop.. fixed.. ausie.. not, a gm, holden fan..
a 350 is 1 short of a real engine. 351 clevo..
Can't believe that engine fired up and ran. SBC for the partial win.

Crash up derby engine possibly?????? Big oil clearance, so it won't stop turning. Cracked block because it got 285 degrees… Just the thought in my head. Great videos and content keep up the hard work thanks.
Mojo rocks , 😂🤣👍
Hey Mort, wasn’t 78 through like 80 GM made a lot of poor casting. remember reading something about that. Anyway thanks for sharing. Have good weekend.
Greeting Sir Mortske an duff love ur contet all the way from 🇿🇦south africa
That 350 was looser than my ex wife,
Mojo is awesome
Sir, I have a question. My late father, who passed away 4 months ago, and I were in the process of rebuilding the original engine in the '82 Chevy pickup truck. We took the block to a machine shop to get it bored out for bigger pistons. We rebuilt the bottom end of the 292 straight six-cylinder engine, but we never put the oil pan or head on it because we had stopped due to financial reasons. We stored the engine away. About four years ago, I started working as a mechanic in a small-town mechanic shop. My ex-boss tried to help me rebuild the engine, but when I tried to hand-turn it before putting the head on it, it was stuck or seized. My question is, would it be better to take it apart again and redo the bottom end, or would it be better to just pour liquid into the cylinder pistons?
2 Things.. 1 Jeez Mortske you almost have enough scrap value there to retire on!! (especially if we go to 'war', as if) and 2 that Telehandler is just the cat's pajamas and you're a GREAT friend to have down the road.
What a great time exploring an engine with someone with Mojo's knowledge and experience. It's ALWAYS a fun time tearing down a blown or even not a blown motor.. and to do it with a legend like Mojo.. I'm both jealous and super happy for Mortske to get this very rare experience having that guy in his shop. So much to learn!
No salvage yards in your area? You got a couple thousand dollars in scrap there.😮
Mojo for shop foreman.
Nice back mojo, horrable camera angle,,
Thanks for the video.
Umm, thank you
