    One works %100
the other works but as soon as I plug in a usb hard drive the computer becomes unresponsive I have tested 4 drives and it's the same also the display port does not work but the hdmi does and the ethernet randomly not connecting to the internet reboot the pc and it's all ok again in thinking it's the main board or am I missing something

  2. I repaired a laptop myself, I plugged in charger and checked where is the heat. I felt a sharp sting in my hand, it was a little capacitor that would instantly heat when plugged in. I removed it and magically my laptop booted on and worked.

  4. I would never suspect a shorted cap that measure 40ohm it would be intresting to see the reading on both the motherboard and the cap itself after it was removed

  5. thank for educating us but you should have showed us the reading of the damaged capacitor because we might not have thermal camera to dectect that, i just want to know if the capacitor was reading zero ohms when you switch meter to continuity

  6. With most faults being with MOSFETs, power management chips and.caps. why isn't there any efforts in making these devices larger to handle more power rating and reliability. Usb D will probably be same fragile piece of poop.

  7. Time has shown that these SMD capacitors are garbage and have a high failure rate… That's sad 🙁 Makes you wonder, how many devices have made their way to a landfill because of a failed 1 cent capacitor. Oh, the horror!
