Love the project so far @Matt. Also… nice music, def enjoying it!
not sure if it is a Youtube thing but the dang ad pop-ups at the bottom of the screen are annoying as hell. Persistent little buggers.
997 Turbos also need to have cams pinned. That's a potential catastrophic failure point on the 997 Mezger
Grey seat belts with terracotta stitching
Chalk grey seat belt with terracota stitching👌🏽
Grey seat belts
I would replace that microphone with a newer one cuz the car is still from 08 so why not put one that's 13 yrs newer
I think yellow seatbelts would blend well with the interior colour.
Terracotta calipers would look REALLY good with some silver HRE monoblocks
I loved the 996 project it has turned out pretty good. I also like the wheel choice, finally somebody who not forcing thoes ugly black wheels.
I would go chalk on the belts ( terracotta stitching on the black would be cool but prolly not very noticeable unless your physically going to buckle up )
looking good mat, serious question. how you balance work/life/relationship tho? lately i struggle even working on my pos for 15 mins without having to stop
Here's a tip for the cameras so it won't happen next time
Always format the SD cards after transferring the files so that they don't get corrupted like it happened now, it might get tedious but it's better to be safe than sorry that you lost a record session
Get yourself a cheap SD card reader. Don't rely on GoPro. You might have been able to fix the SD card within Windows and recover your footage!
Microphones should be in the steering column.
Great stuff Matt! Keep it going.
As with any skill, practice makes perfect. TIG is no different, so please add to your list of skills to acquire. It will come in handy, I am sure. Check out Justin at the fabrication series for really good tig content.
I am sure that you are happy about the drilling already being done, but now you are primed and ready for the 996 when that time comes.
As for seatbelts, I like color matched. Perhaps save the grey for other interior accents that are subtle?
Again, fantastic content. I doubt I will ever acquire a Porsche, but this is fun to watch.
I would love to see some chalk grey touches in the interior like the belts and even stitching etc. would tone down the terracotta a bit.
Black seatbelts with Terracotta stitching 🙂
Really awesome video once again! I would go with orange brake calipers and belts to honor the once orange body 😛
