“Jesper Makes”

I’m making a dining table from ash logs and epoxy resin, and I flatten it with a homemade flattening jig. I’m also using the Shaper Origin for inlays and the Domino XL for joinery on the tablebase. I couldn’t have done all the resawing without my Laguna 18BX bandsaw.

The table is for sale…

  3. Love watching your channel buddy, it gives me lots to think about, your humour is infectious. What is the name of the tool that you ground down the table leg spindle please. Keep it coming

  4. A couple of questions; Why did you use large dimension lumber? I would have thought that 3.5 cm would be sufficient. I have looked over your shop during the building of the table and noticed the drawer fronts on a set of drawers in your shop that look like slices of logs. Are they real or it is wallpaper? Very intriguing. Tell me more, please.

  5. So grateful DainerMade sent me over to ya. Love the collaboration, beautiful execution without even a plan, and the editing is above top notch. Time to binge some more

  6. Let that be a lesson to any maker.. you take a down payment, usually more than 50%, up front.
If you are doing an install, be sure you get another payment before starting on site work.
Then, once the job is complete, you should already have 75-90% in your pocket, leaving them with only 10-25% to cut you with.
If you don't practice this religiously you will soon be out of business entirely.

  7. Beautiful table. After the second time I had someone tell me they couldn't afford to pay me after spending my own money on supplies I started a down payment system where I won't even start planning a build without half the cost in my hand for materials. I've not had a single person back out since then

  8. War in europe impact only ukrainian people. But politics have been put all the european in this war. We are not fighter, we do not want to participate at this war.

  9. HEY jESPER,
i like the style of this table, just i don't like these slices…( let me put it this way i want to be honest with you.
    …not presentable… )
but i love the rest. instead of slices, i will use thick 4-inch planks and occasionally chop the edges with an ax to make it look even more rustic.
    these table legs are
    AWESOME…
and by the way i SUBSCRIBET immediately.
I want to see more, much more.
Thank you for being there with new ideas.
I mean it from the heart.
    greetings from Germany.

  10. Hvad snakker du om, no brand høvl? Det er sgu da Jem & Fix's eget mærke! 😉
Aldrig noget vildt, men gør hvad de skal, og udemærket hvis det er værktøj man ikke skal bruge så tit… Så ingen grund til at købe en 50.000kr Festool 😛

  11. Really nice table 🙂 Nice to see a fellow scandinavian as well 🙂 And you are truly an inspiration for me!

But I just wanted to point out that the rise in energy costs is not because of whats going on in Ukraine, it is because our own politicians….. At least here in Sweden and I´m guessing that your danish politicians is as retarded as ours.

  12. Did u sell the table in the end Jesper mate?? That was a real shame that the client pulled out of the deal. There has to be some way of getting some form of compensation for all ur hard work.. That's not right bro. Somebody commissions u to make a bloody table which took nearly 3wks of ur life and they can just tell u to fook right off by the end?? That's not right bro. I hope u sold the table fort a right few quid and made a huge profit from it.. All that work and a client can pull out of his commitment after all ur hard graft my bro.. Keep the head up man bcos lots of ppl will be buying ur work
